Welcome To Our Reading Lab!
     The Wahl-Coates Reading Lab is designed to provide an inviting and comfortable atmosphere for you to relax and read your favorite book.  Students, you are encouraged to earn a Reading Lab Pass from your teacher after completing all of your classwork or as a reward for exhibiting good behavior in the classroom.  
     The Reading Lab has a wide variety of books in many areas of interest as well as levels of reading for you to choose from.  In the Listening Center you will find both fiction and nonfiction books with cds.  After listening to the book, you will have the opportunity to practice your higher order thinking skills by answering questions related to the story.
     We have one computer available for students who need to take AR tests.  This computer may also be used for research projects, Study Island or reading books on-line.
     I will be conducting small group reading instruction with third and fourth graders, so please enter the Reading Lab quietly.  Choose your book quickly, find a comfortable chair and read quietly for the time your teacher has allotted.
